Operations Masters
Windows 2008

RID
The rid master takes care of Relative Identifiers like SID's
Another cool tool that you can use to find out more about the RID master and what it's current RID is at that moment is to run:

dcdiag /test:ridmanager /v

Or to see more information about DNS
dcdiag /test:dns /v

PDC EMULATOR
Has several roles in one
Infrastructure Master
These three Operations Masters can be found by right clicking on the active directory users and computers on the domain and then choose Operations Masters
Domain Naming Master
This Operations Master can be found by right clicking on the active directory domains and trusts and then choose Operations Masters when clicking on the active directory domains and trusts
Schema Master
This can be found by register a dll first:
c:\Users\Administrator\regsvr32 schmmgmt.dll

You have to add a MMC snapin to find the schema.
This Operations Master can be found by right clicking on the active directory schema and then choose Operations master

When you want to move an operations master to another machine it is very important that you are working on the machine that will get the new role. So if you want to move the RID master from server1 to server2 you have to make the change on server2
